If you’re looking for an exotic foreign vacation destination near the United States, Cancun is the next place you should visit, a place famously known for its incredible resorts and nightlife scene. During spring break thousands of college students flock down to the beaches of Cancun for a lot unforgettable fun.

What Is It
Cancun is a Mexican city on the Yucatán Peninsula bordering the Caribbean Sea. It has two distinctive areas: El Centro and Zona Hotelera. El Centro is the downtown area that is more traditional and is known for its cheaper hotel accommodations. Zona Hotelera is a long strip of beachfront properties that consist of high-rise hotels, nightclubs, restaurants, and lots of shopping.
How to Get There
From Guam, the easiest and most direct flight route is to Hawaii first, and from there, to the west coast of the US mainland before heading southeast towards the Caribbean Sea. Flight-searching tips: Use Google Flights and search in incognito mode on any airline website. This will help block them from tracking your flight search history. We recommend you book two separate flights: A round-trip to the mainland and then search for a special-on- a-budget airline that has a promotion for Cancun. Try searching for deals on Virgin America. Consider visiting during Cancun's off-season, which is from May through October. During this time, everything from hotels to excursions to airfare will be at the cheapest price of the year. The only drawback is it also coincides with Cancun's hurricane season, which stretches from July to the end of October. When you arrive in Cancun, be sure to arrange a free shuttle service with your hotel.
Where to Stay
First, explore your options on Airbnb. The El Centro area is much cheaper than the Zona Hotelera. Another affordable option is staying in a hostel in the Zona Hotelera area. This way you’re close to the popular spots. If you have more money to spend get yourself a hotel there, as most resorts are right on the beach and often include all-inclusive packages. Hostel Natura, for one, is a safe and affordable hostel in a convenient location with friendly staff. It’s the perfect place for a solo traveler to stay while traveling on a budget. It’s next door to a convenient store, and on the first floor there’s a 24-hour taco bar.
Krystal Grand Punta Cancun Hotel is one of the most beautiful destinations in the Mexican Caribbean with the best value for your money. It offers VIP services, luxurious spa treatments, gourmet cuisine, and so much more. Located at the very tip of the Hotel El Centro district, it’s the perfect place to stay if you’re feeling fancy. Finally, if you are looking for a fun getaway from work, school, and just being an adult, relax and unwind at Grand Oasis Cancun. The hotel offers 24/7 entertainments to keep the festivities going, hosting live concerts, festivals and shows, themed parties, and even everyday surprises, such as dancers in the lobby and comedy skits by the longest pool in Cancun. Aside from the endless entertainment and fun, Grand Oasis offers opportunities for rest and relaxation.
What to Eat?
Tacos, of course, the real deal. Across The City nightclub in Zona Hotelera features a little taco stand run by three older ladies who cook the best tacos. It’s definitely the perfect spot to stumble into after a night out. Stop by Fat Tuesday and grab yourself a tall mix of your favorite alcoholic beverage. It’s the best way to cool down if you’re visiting Cancun during the warmer season. Spend a unique dining experience at Sedona Grill, the only one Cancun restaurant serving specialties from the
southwestern cuisine. It is located at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, and features delicious breakfast buffet, fresh and light lunch, and luxury dinners. For those looking for a great restaurant in Cancun, Sedona Grill is the perfect combination between service, food quality, and dining experience while spending your vacation in Cancun.
What to Do
It’s going to be a fully packed itinerary for all vacationers to Cancun as the place offers lots and lots of activities that should be fun for everyone.
Hit the crystal clear beaches of Cancun or enjoy cold margaritas by the pool
Chichen Itza is the world-famous complex of Mayan ruins on the Yucatan Peninsula
in Mexico. It’s a massive pyramid structure of an ancient city, which thrived from
around 600 A.D. to the 1200s.
The Yucatan Peninsula has over 7,000 “cenotes,” which are secret underground
caverns formed over hundreds of years after limestone has collapsed, leaving a hole
in the earth that leads to a pool of water. One of the most beautiful and largest is Ik
Kil, found 85 feet below the surface and features a water surface 200 feet in
diameter and a depth of 130 feet.
You can watch theatrical performances from popular burlesque shows to Michael
Jackson impersonators. The nightclub famous for its Vegas-style shows is a great
place to visit if love music, drinks, and dancing.
Get a table and dance the night away at Mandala, one of Cancun’s finest and most
renowned nightclubs located in the heart of the party zone.
The City is a huge nightclub that holds over 5,000 people. Occasionally, they have
different themed events or host a famous artist. Whether it’s an EDM concert or a
foam party, The City holds events that make the place a must-visit out while you’re
in Cancun.
From dolphin watching to underwater museums, Cancun is filled with tons of
outdoor adventures fit for everyone. Most companies have discounted packages
when you purchase a tour package online.
So the next time you plan on going on a vacation or you find yourself contemplating on where to go for spring break you should consider Cancun, Mexico. It’s a tropical paradise perfect for everyone especially those waiting to party!
