Chanel Riley is extremely hard to ignore, and it doesn’t take more than one look to understand why. After all, the 21-year-old is blessed with sultry lips and a seductive stare that could grab anyone’s attention. Her unique style makes her even more lovable. “Lately I have been into street wear mixed with some 1960s and 70s fashion,” she explained. “I love to stand out, especially with colors, prints, textures, and fur.”
Chanel’s personality is as colorful as her wardrobe—she’s quite the storyteller, with a sense of humor to match. Still, she’s got a serious side. “I am a business-minded person,” she said. “Whether in a romantic relationship or [as] CEO of a company, everything is an investment to me. In the future, I hope to have made smart investments that would benefit my financial and social status.”
It’s that same ambition and drive that inspires Chanel, and she’s equally motivated by people who are willing to work hard to bring their dreams to life. “Those are the type of people who say they want something, and do what it takes to get it,” she said. “Those are the people who get the job done. Basically, [I believe] you gotta walk the walk, not just talk the talk.”
A Guam girl at heart, Chanel made a big move three years ago when she decided to live in Hawaii on her own. “It was an emotional decision for me to leave Guam, but I love the woman that I have grown into,” she said. Since then, she’s learned a lot, from meeting new people with different perspectives to gaining an open mind. “I have built the courage to speak up since no one is here to speak for me but myself,” she said. “I love that I am at my own pace in life, and that there is no pressure for me to be on someone’s time or space.”
So what does a (very) lucky guy need to do to get Chanel to notice him? Well, clean hygiene is a must, she declared. Being open-minded, humble, and patient helps your chances, too. “I’m attracted to men who are always striving for more in life, not someone who settles [down] just because of a minor setback,” Chanel said. “I need a man who can take the initiative, but not become possessive and controlling.”
We asked Chanel some of the most random “if you were’s” we can think of.
If you were to sum up yourself in three words, what would it be?
“Gimme that horchata!” (Laughs) I love horchata. So when I want it, I’m gonna get it, and you can bet yourself that I’m gonna say it like I mean it.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
I wanna be an English bulldog because they’re cute AF and they act so lazy, but they’re playful just like me.
If you were the CEO of a company, name one thing you would ban in the office.
I would ban people from coming into work with an attitude. It’s uncomfortable to work with someone who is negative in the environment. Instead, we should all try to work together and lift each other up!
